Question;
why am I running for Orange County
Legislator?
The
answer is simple;
I can do a better job representing the 9th
District than the current Legislator.
My record as Deputy Mayor of Walden
proves it. I continue to keep citizens
informed (sometimes at my own cost) and
gave voice to their concerns at
Legislative Village Board meetings.
Steve
Brescia
is campaigning outside his district on
the coattails of a newcomer to politics
to hide the fact that he is a career
politician with 16 years as legislator
for our district. You may recognize his
name; after all he has also been Mayor
of the Village of Montgomery for the
past 20 years. I don’t want to belabor
the point but Steve Brescia also is a
full time employee of a lumber company.
Do you
know of specific benefits he’s brought
back to District 9? Why would you
vote for him?
Facts
to consider:
These are my priority issues for
District 9.
1. As
your Legislator I will fight for
controlling county taxes and spending.
2. I
will also focus on programs that address
the needs of our growing senior
population and will work on projects
that showcase the cultural and ethnic
diversity of our county.
3. I
will insist the OC Planning Department
hold meetings of the Newburgh Area
Transportation and Land Use Study in
District 9. I have personally been
informing the residents of the district
about this study.
4. I
will advocate for Orange County to move
forward with the development of the
Orange County Airport so that it can
become an economic engine for the Town
of Montgomery and District 9, attracting
allied aviation businesses and tourism.
