The $600k Landmaster Lawsuit - the truth

This is the most important vote you will cast in a long time to come. The vote for Town Supervisor is much more important than any State or National Level election.  This election will either solidify the return to power of the Old Political Organization that controlled our town for the last 50 years, or it will Restart the Progress interrupted two years ago.

This message has three goals:
     1.  Inform you about my website.
     2.  Clear up lies about lawsuits.
     3.  Connect to voters without needing big dollars.

Please read and keep this message for easy reference, especially during this last week of the election.  If 2007 repeats itself, you can expect a deluge of meaningless ads selling Mike Hayes.

The Lawsuits:
I ask you to please question what you've been told.    Is it true?    Who is actually responsible? The officials who were in office when the work was done, or the new official who came into office after the fact?  Who had the power? Who would benefit from the lies and distortion of facts?

The facts and Timeline follows:
Mike Hayes ads say I'm responsible for Lawsuits, especially the $600,000.00 payment to Jerry Jacobowitz for the Comprehensive Master Plan fiasco.  Ask yourself, who was in office for the 2 years it took to finish the plan in December 2003, one month before I took office.

When I took office, there were four (4) of Al Valks councilmen on the Town Board with me. Two Town councilmen ( Bill Kirnan, & Mark Hoyt ) were also members of the Master Plan Committee.  Richard Hoyt, the Town Lawyer (Mark Hoyts brother and currently serving as the Planning Board Lawyer) also served as the legal counsel for the Master Plan. They and Al Valk still controlled the Board Vote by 4 to 1.  As Bill Kirnan (who resigned from the board in mid 2004) liked to say to me privately Girly, just remember who is in charge here. 

WHY, you might ask, does Mike Hayes continue to tar and feather me with this lie? Because, its risky for him to do this.  What if I am able to get people to see past the lies?  Then he's exposed as a liar.  

The answer, is in the question; Who Benefits?   The Old Political Organization I defeated in 2003 and 2005 profits from the lies.   The very same Old Political Organization got back into Town Hall through Mike Hayes in 2007.  So again, Why does he lie?  The answer is, it's not up to Mike Hayes to decide what he lies about; if he wants to stay in office.

You see, till I exposed their illegal actions and abusive taxation they enjoyed reputations as Fathers of our Town (you know who they are).  They want to wipe out and destroy any vestige of my having beaten them, to distort any evidence of the truth about their actions.  They have tried to destroy me politically, professionally and financially to secure their position in Town.  In addition to their customary compensations, they want to be Town Fathers again.  You see, having been forced to interact with them for so many years, I came to know their motivations and frailties very well.

They're really very simple souls; its about their status in their town.   Its almost as important to them as controlling their money (the Town Budget).

Through a collaboration with ELITE DEMOCRATS (spelled as any democrat I said NO to) such as Peter Mathieu & Associates & Judy Noorlander; Mathieu is Campaign Manager for Hayes, and Noorlander helps with strategy and lies to convince voters to vote for Hayes.  With major and silent financial backing from Lawyers/Developers, they found the formula to get it done.  

Its actually quite simple, if you have the organization and resources.  All it takes is massive, factually inaccurate, & distorted advertising, published on a REPETIVE schedule, till the end of the election.  Mix in a quiet, pliable, and suggestible front man.   Add the final ingredient, the average voters lack of time to verify the truth on his own;  Shake & Bake.

It worked.  They got me out and this Tough Team is back on Track to wipe away the memory of the four years they lost power.   After all, I should never have won once, but twice, its too much for them to bear.

My crime?  I put their reputations at risk with a pesky thing called THE TRUTH.
