VOTE FOR A LEADER WHO KNOWS HOW
GOVERNMENT WORKS AND WHO WILL
MAKE GOVERNMENT WORK FOR YOU |
For the
past four years until April, 2009, I served the
residents of the Village of Walden as their Deputy
Mayor. My focus always is on innovative ways to
solve local issues. As an elected official I have
initiated many projects and programs that instill
and develop local pride in our government and our
community. While serving in Village Government, I
also established working relationships with many of
the heads of County Departments and Agencies and I
know how the resources of Orange County can be used
to benefit all the residents in the district.
I want to be a member of the Orange County
Legislature in order to put my experience to work on
a broader level for the residents of District 9
(Montgomery-Crawford) and for the whole County. As a
Legislator I will dedicate full-time effort to the
issues of controlling county taxes, providing open
and accountable government, developing sustainable
strategies to produce local jobs, solving traffic
and transportation issues, and protecting open
space. I will also focus on programs that address
the needs
of our growing senior population.
I have been a resident of Orange County since 1957
and a resident of Walden since 1982. I have
witnessed many changes and improvements in that
time, but one thing has remained the same, and that
is the dedication of effort and time that the people
who live here put in to their communities. As a
member of many of the community groups in the Town
of Montgomery, I am aware of local needs and
volunteer in many community activities on a regular
basis. I have been a volunteer coordinator for
Orange County Day for the past four years, and I
will use my experience to promote the development of
cultural and educational opportunity in our
beautiful County.
On November 3rd it’s time for Orange County voters
to put an end to one party rule in Goshen and elect
a team of legislators who will provide the
leadership that is sorely lacking in Orange County
Government. It’s time to elect representatives who
will offer policy guidance on issues and legislative
oversight of spending. It’s time to elect leaders
who will safeguard your constitutional rights,
protect your health and safety, and provide the
services that will ensure the prosperity of all.
Vote ROW A and elect a Democratic majority who will
change Orange County Government and make it work for
you.
